Usain Bolt break world record at 9.58 to win 100min final in Berlin

Usain Bolt has broken the 100m world record with a time of 9.58sec in the final of the World Athletics Championship. He break the world record he set in last year's Olympic game in of 9.69sec.

"I was feeling good after the semis. I knew it was going to be a great race and I executed it," Bolt said. "It's a great time, a great feeling, I feel good in myself and I knew I could do it.

"There was a big build up, great atmosphere. It wasn't going to be an easy race but I had a perfect start and just went from there.

His rivals Tyson Gay and Asafa Powell finished second and third respectively. Tyson Gay recorded American record of 9.71 sec beating previous 100 m record of 9.77sec. Britain Dwain Chambers registered best of the season performance. Final game video at bbc.co.ukusain-bolt
